BOTOX® for Hyperhidrosis : Techniques


Palms

To treat hyperhidrosis of the palms, the dose used is 100 BOTOX® units per palm for a total dose of 200 units. The BOTOX® 100 unit vial is diluted with 5.0cc of saline in the vial. (Either saline containing benzoic acid or preservative-free saline can be used).  See dilution tables for more information.

Injection Sites-Hand

Injection Sites-Fingers

This dilution technique yields 2 units per 0.1cc of solution.  Using a 1cc tuberculin syringe with a 30-gauge needle, subcutaneously inject with an approximate depth of 3mm with care to avoid intramuscular injections.
