Laser Hair Removal:
A beam of light is directed down the hair shaft to the follicle, damaging its ability to produce hair. At Baumann Cosmetic & Research Institute, we have three different hair removal lasers that are used for different skin types and hair colors. We can even treat skin of color with our cutting-edge laser technology. One of our expert physicians will evaluate each patient and decide which laser system is best suited for each individual, thus ensuring the ultimate in safety and efficacy. How many treatments are required depends on the thickness of the hair and the area of the body to be treated.

Vaniqa:
Vaniqa is a new prescription cream that is applied twice a day to areas of the body with unwanted hair. It is not a hair removal product, but slows re-growth of hair. Therefore, one must continue using their hair removal method of choice (laser, waxing, shaving, etc.), but hair will re-grow at a slower rate. In clinical trials, almost 60% of women had improvement of unwanted facial hair when compared to placebo.
