Intense Pulsed Light (IPL):
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is used to treat broken blood vessels and brown patches on the face, chest, arms and hands. There are different strengths of IPL available, and the one we use is much stronger than those found in salons and spas. Our IPL device emits a pulse of light, which penetrates the skin and is absorbed by the vessel or brown pigment. The brown patch turns darker and peels off within 10 days, and the blood vessels dramatically improve within a few days. Although the face may be slightly pink for a few days with a few darkened brown spots, there is no real down time associated with this procedure.
