At UM Cosmetic Center, our goal is to promote treatments which have a scientific basis and which work for our patients. We run a number of clinical research studies to test new products or procedures. Some of our current ongoing studies include:
Acne Trial - research study testing whether an investigational treatment
improves mild to severe acne in adults ages 18 to 39 (Currently Enrolling!!) -
Botulinum Toxin for excess sweating (palms)
Botulinum Toxin for excess sweating (axillae)
- Botulinum Toxin for crow's feet (wrinkles)
- Examination and safety of the efficacy of a topical cream for photoaging
- Examination and safety of the efficacy of a topical cream for melasma
If you are interested in participating in a clinical research study similar to the ones listed above, please contact us. Be sure and state which type of study you are interested in being a part of. Please visit our Research Interests Section to see the most current list of topics that our center is interested in researching. Your email will be printed out and added to our study participant file under that research topic. If a study becomes available, you will be contacted to participate. We always have new studies starting so if one study is already in progress, we may have one starting in the near future for which we need participants.
Please be sure to send your telephone number, email, and local address so that we will have no difficulty in contacting you.
*Please note that all study participants must live within driving distance to the University of Miami Cosmetic Center, so that they will have no problem returning for follow up visits. If you live in another state or country, please do not apply to be involved in one of our studies, as it is not feasible to include you. However, we would be more than happy to see you as a patient at the University of Miami Cosmetic Center.
