Contour threads are permenant threads with "velcro" like hooks that are used to tighten the sagging face just like a facelift. It can be done on the brow, mid face, lower face and neck. There is no incision, no scar, the procedure is done under local anesthesia, in an outpatient setting, takes about one hour and the patient goes home.  There are several days of moderate discomfort, some swelling and bruising, little or no restrictions and patients should expect to look normal in 7 to 10 days.  Dr. Mandy been doing it since it first became FDA approved and so far all of the patients have been satisfied with the results. It seems to last at least 2 to 3 years or longer, depending upon the age, weight etc. of the patient.  Dr. Mandy trains other physicians to do contour threads.
