Also known as hyperhydrosis. Topical medications, iontophoresis, and surgery are ineffective in most people. Now BOTOX® or Myobloc injections are used to temporarily stop sweating in the hands, feet and armpits. This procedure is amazingly effective and the results last at least 4 months in most patients. The procedure is expensive ($400- $1500) depending on the dose and areas treated, but is an excellent solution for those with this distressing problem. We will apply numbing cream to the area to be treated so please come 45 minutes prior to your appointment to allow the numbing cream to take effect. After the procedure you may return to work, play and your usual activities.
