  Lasers

Lasers can be used to treat wrinkles, sagging skin, dark spots, visible blood vessels, rosacea, veins and red moles called angiomas. This is called Photorejuvenation. We have many different lasers in our center, and in addition, are often testing new lasers for various companies. Click here to sign up for a laser research study.

Wrinkles:

Fraxel™ Laser Treatments or very different than the CO2 lasers that were originally developed to treat wrinkles. Instead of removing the entire surface of the skin as those lasers did, the Fraxel™ treats pinpoint areas on the skin, penetrating small fractions by 400 to 700 microns. The 1550nm Fraxel laser works both at the skins surface to remove sun damage, and under the skins surface to help stimulate collagen and smooth out wrinkles. Three separate treatments are recommended for optimal improvement. The skin is usually slightly red for 24 hours after each procedure. Cost varies by area to be treated.

Blood vessels, facial redness, rosacea:: Our 940nm diode laser is excellent for blood vessels and spider veins, with no bruising or down time. These treatment take approximately 5 minutes and immediately improve unsightly blood vessels. These lasers are almost painless with the sensation being likened to a snap of a rubber band. This revolutionary 940nm laser is the only one of its kind in Miami and only a few are available in the United States. In most cases, one treatment is adequate to treat broken blood vessels on the face.

Cost - $500 per treatment.
