  Sculptra

(Known as New Fill in Europe, Asia and Latin America):

Sculptra is FDA approved for treatment of facial atrophy due to HIV infection. For several years we have been using it to treat facial wrinkles with excellent results. Sculptra is not really a dermal filler but is a dermal stimulator. When injected, it stimulates your skin cells to make their own collagen. This treatment differs from the above mentioned dermal fillers because it does not offer instant gratification that the other fillers do, however, once the desired results are achieved, they may last up to two years. Sculptra is injected once a month. For the first 2 months, you will see minimal results. (Because of this, Sculptra is often combined with a filler to provide instant gratification). After 3 months of injections, you will begin to see improvement of lines that appears very natural. Injections are often required every month for 3-6 months. Dermal stimulators can be combined with dermal fillers in order to achieve both immediate short term correction and delayed long term correction.

Cost $200 per cc. The number of ccs varies according to the severity of wrinkling.
